At Heywood, Cari & Anderson, S.C., we are proud to have a rich history spanning over 60 years. Our law firm was founded by John D. Heywood in June 1945, above a drug store in downtown Hudson, Wisconsin. Since then, we have grown and evolved to become a full-service law firm, with attorneys licensed to practice in Wisconsin and Minnesota. Our team of dedicated professionals is committed to serving each client with a high degree of professional competence, sincere interest in their overall needs, and a strong desire to accomplish positive results.

Our History

The firm's history is marked by significant milestones. In 1955, Kenneth Hayes and William Hess joined John D. Heywood, forming Heywood, Hayes & Hess. After Mr. Hess left in 1959, the firm became Heywood & Hayes, which continued until 1974. Samuel R. Cari joined in 1977, and the partnership existed until Mr. Heywood's passing in 2001. Since then, the firm has continued to grow, with Christopher M. Anderson, Ryan C. Cari, Philip A. Helgeson, and Kevin M. Urbik joining as partners over the years.
